What causes Lichen Planus ?

Lichen planus is an ulcerative disease that affects skin and /or oral mucosa.
LP aetiology remains unknown. Its histopathological features indicate that it is immune mediated. It has a characteristic appearance of striae that appear in the oral cavity known as Wickham’s Striae.
